The role:

We are currently seeking a Legal Secretary to join our Dispute Resolution team who have an emphasis on corporate, commercial, contract interpretation and trade practices disputes.

General responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising directly with clients
  • Drafting and amending relevant correspondence and documents
  • Creating and lodging court documents
  • Preparation of briefs
  • File management including the opening, closing and archiving of files
  • Monthly client billing and reports plus responding to billing enquires
  • Project management


To be successful in this role, you need to;

  • Be accurate and have high proficiency in typing
  • Be able to deal with and manage clients
  • High attention to detail and be a team player
  • Have a keen interest in the practice area

We use Expert and FileSite as our in-house programs so experience in these programs would be advantageous but is not essential. Technical competence and an innovative attitude is a must for this position. Candidates will be required to sit a technical Microsoft Word competence test as part of our recruitment process given the focus of our support positions at our firm.
